My view of the Article by Zuiddan Saudav
"Introducing Media Studies
The Assignment is to answer these compelling questions. 1.) How does the article make you feel personally? I read this article twice and by the second time gained a little insight into what the article was about. The article hit on many subjects and Ideas from Media as an Industry,Forms of retelling stories, too the Hegemonic Model and the Pluralistic Model and terms like Gate-keeping, synergy, and Mega-conglomerate. The article brought a lot of information about the media and its future into focus for me, so I think it was interesting and informative but not something I would read on a daily basis.
2.) What is your relationship with technology? I have a close and constant relationship with technology from video games on, console, computer, and mobile devices. Another way of being intimate with technology is through these web blogs we write, post we write through twitter, facebook, tumbler, pinterest, google +, linked-in,snapchat,instagram etc... I use my computer to do my homework, check email, compose essay's and do research for other projects besides writing.
3.) What a your friends and family? I know most of my friends and family members are quite well versed in technology today's world. They all have cell phones, flat screen TV's, Desk top computers, Laptops, notebooks and other technology. 4.) How has your life changed online? I have learned to reach out to people for advice, share interest, share my photography over many platforms, from ipad's,cell phones, websites, and talk to various people on a variety of subjects. This new technology allows me to talk about and understand subjects which I wouldn't have had access too without it.
5.) How is it continuing to change? It is continuing to change because these forms of communication such as blogs, websites, online news feeds, video sights, and online radio also podcast are continuing to be used more and more. People are relying on these sights to get their news, express their views on subjects that matter to them.
6.) What do you think your relationships and culture will be like in 15 years? I think that they will be similar too today but with new technology it creates faster and more direct communication over great distances with people that we would not be able to communicate without this evolving technology.
7.) In the light of current events, how do you think online culture is going to change given the use of social networking, internet video and online collaboration? I think that with the collaboration of people on social networks sharing news, opinions, views, that the culture will be more connected on a informational level and may create friendships with groups and organizations which share similar ideas and values.
8.) How can this type of digital communication be a form of "Art"?
