First Thoughts

I have started my new web blog here on blogger.com and am unsure of what to write about. I guess when the professor gives me a subject to write about I will try my best to come up with something to say. Hopefully something that makes sense and covers the subject matter in some relevant detail. Iam not a good writer and this is something I would like to improve on and so I will probably purchase a book from the Dummies series on writing for Dummies or something like that. Hopefully that will help me improve my writing ability and content creation.

Executive Summary

The Future of Cinema

By Eric J. Woody

The Future of Cinema is the 3d movies made by James Cameron like popular film Avatar which earned $3 billion dollars world wide. The terminator was also one of James Cameron's popular and successful movies made in 1984.  Technology has been apart of the Future of Cinema since the beginning of cinema in the late 1870's with the invention of motion photography pioneered by photographer Eadweard Muybridge who photographed a race horse using twenty four camera's lined along the race track taking one photo per frame which turned out to be 1/24 frames per second which when viewed in motion causes the photo's to come to life. James Cameron used minitures and stop motion animation which created his motion in his animation film.

The Future of Cinema is based in advancements in new technologies like 3d and 4d technology but also in avancemets in film resolution like 1080 p and now 2k and 4k filming. These which give digital filming and videography sharper images which bring the images even more too life almost like being their. I used to use manual lenses in my photography and film photography which was a slower more artistic process. The Digital revolution made it easier for photographers and film makers a way to produce images quicker do more in less time than film and save more money in processing of the images

The Future of Cinema is also what we produce as writers and how the writers move their stories to get the attention of their audiences. The content producers now and in the near future can be anyone who uses the internet and portable technology. Smartphones, ipads, digital camera technology like DSLR camera's are a lot less expensive to film on and more portable. The use of SD cards which are used by most people using digital technology allow almost unlimited space for footage to be captured.

The Future of Cinema has a bright future because we as a society like to tell and share our stories online and this allows us easier access via youtube, facebook, twitter, vimeo, streaming live, on Ustream and all the portable ways to capture these stories will allow cinema a new way of reaching audiences. .
